Madiba , affectionately known and admired the most among of the South African's. 53 million habitats of the country respect him as the architect of the 1994 transition to multi-racial democracy after three centuries of white domination.

Mandela has been in intensive care for more than two weeks Pretoria Hospital. He was hospitalized on June 8 as he was suffering from lung infection.

A Government statement said, President Jacob Zuma's office was informed by Mandela's doctors that his condition deteriorated more in the past 24 hrs

US President Barack Obama is due to visit of South Africa this week as a part of a three country tour.Whereas Zuma confirmed that Mandela's worsening state of health should not affect his trip.


His last public appearence was waving to fans from the back of golf cart before the final of Soccer World Cup in Johannesburg's Soccer City in Jul' 2010.
Since his latest admission to hospital, well-wishers have been arriving at his Johannesburg home, with scores of school-children leaving painted stones outside the gates bearing prayers for his recovery.

"If it's his time to go, he can go. I wish God can look after him," said nurse Petunia Mafuyeka, as she headed to work in Johannesburg.

"I'm worried that they're keeping him alive. I feel they should let him go," said Doris Lekalakala, a claims manager. "The man is old. Let nature take its course. He must just rest."
The day after he went into hospital, South Africa's Sunday Times newspaper carried a front-page headline saying it was "time to let him go".
